One of my favorite things about being a schoolteacher ( other than the obvious 2 months off in the summer) is that each year there is a definite end and a fresh beginning. The end of each year is exciting and kind of sad at the same time. Every year at the beginning of a new school year I don't think I will like the new class as much as I did the old, but before you know it I have once again fallen in love with the children that God has placed in my room for me to spend 180 days with. So it is always bittersweet to say goodbye to my kids ( at least most of them) :-), but I am excited that I now have time to spend with my own friends and family. Here are some pictures of my teacher friends packing up their rooms. Elementary schools really look strange in the summer.

That is awesome. Being a teacher is truely one of the most rewarding jobs out there. It is also the toughest. I can easily see how all of my teachers molded me into who I am today. Congrats on another year!
